How to Change an Email Sender Name in Outlook Express

Outlook Express is an email program that comes standard on most Windows operating systems. The Outlook Express application features many popular tools and allows you to alter your settings easily within its internal menus. When sending an email through Outlook Express, your name will show up in the inbox of your recipient, along with your email address; you can change this name anytime you like.

Instructions

1. Open Outlook Express and select "Tools" in the main menu at the top of the page.

2. Click "Accounts" in the Tools menu.

3. Click on "Mail" in the Accounts menu.

4. Select the account you wish to change and and click the tab labeled "Properties."

5. Click the text box that says "Name" in the User Information menu.

6. Enter the name you would like to use, then click "OK" and "Close."
