How to Fix Java Downloading Problems

Many modern websites use small Java applications to deliver interactive content to their visitors. If you are having problems attempting to download Java content from a site on your PC computer, then you may need to delete the Java cache. This will reset the Java access on your system, and should fix any downloading problems.

Instructions
  1. Step 1

    Log on to your PC computer with an account that has administrative access.

  2. Step 2

    Open the "Start" menu and click on the "Control Panel" icon.

  3. Step 3

    Double-click on the "Java" control panel icon.

  4. Step 4

    Go to the "General" tab at the top of the window.

  5. Step 5

    Click on the "Settings" button underneath the information about temporary Internet files.

  6. Step 6

    Choose the "Delete Files" option in the pop-up window.

  7. Step 7

    Click "OK" to confirm the deletion of the temporary files and reset your Java access.
