How to Delete an Old Email Address in Outlook Express

      Open Outlook Express.

      Go to the "Tools" menu and select "Accounts."

      Click on the account you wish to delete. Click "Properties." Review the information to make sure you're deleting the correct account. Click "OK" when you're finished, to close the window.

      Click again on the old email account you wish to delete. Click the "Remove" button.

      Click the "Yes" button in the window that pops up to verify that you wish to delete the account. Click "Close" after the account is deleted.

Tips & Warnings

  • If you think you might want to use the email account with Outlook Express again later, you can always turn it off in your "Send & Receive" schedule instead of deleting it.

  • Deleting the old account will not delete the emails associated with it.
