Fish tacos are all the rage, but they are full of fat due to the fried fish portion. Here is a low fat, super tasty dish even my 10 year old can't get enough of.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 8 small tilapia fillets
  • seasoned breadcrumbs
  • hot sauce
  • 1 Tbs. canola oil
  • lime juice
  • light sour cream
  • shredded lettuce
  • salsa
  • 8 flour tortillas
  • Colby Jack cheese
  1. Step 1

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. pour oil on cookie sheet and spread evenly.

Place seasoned breadcrumbs in a dish. Take tilapia fillet and put 3 drops of hot sauce on fillet and rub in. Place fillet in breadcrumbs and coat liberally. Place on cookie sheet covered with canola oil and place in 350 degree oven until fully cooked. Turn halfway through cooking.

Depending on thickness the cooking time should be about 4 minutes on each side

  2. Step 2

While fish is cooking warm the flour tortillas. Do this by wrapping them in a paper towel and placing them in the microwave for 30 seconds.

  3. Step 3

When fish is done take a tortilla and spread with a small amount of light sour cream. Place fish fillet on tortilla. Squeeze lime juice on fish and add Colby jack cheese, tomatoes salsa and lettuce. Fold and enjoy.
