Instructions

    • 1

Dampen the hair evenly. Wild hair tends to be voluminous, so you should begin with damp hair to "start from scratch."

    • 2

Mist the hair texturizing spray throughout your hair. Use your fingers to move the hair around so that the spray coats it from roots to tips. When doing wild punk rock hairstyles, you have to apply products heavily.

    • 3

Turn on the hair dryer and use the paddle brush to dry your hair upward, sideways and around your head.

    • 4

Continue to move the brush and dryer around your head until your hair is entirely dry. When you are finished, your hair should be sticking out somewhat and have volume at the roots.

    • 5

Turn on the hair straightening iron to medium to high heat. Allow it to heat up.

    • 6

Mist the hair texturizing spray throughout the hair once again, but only lightly this time.

    • 7

Clip the hair straightening iron on the ends of your hair and pull it outward. Wild punk rock hairstyles should be imperfect, so do not go around the head in sections. Doing so will make the hairstyle look too "done." It is important to straighten the hair in front of a mirror and observe how your hair falls and where you are placing it. The style can be as wild or as a tame as you would like it to be.

    • 8

Pump a nickel-sized amount of hair styling paste into your hand. Then add two drops of hair smoothing serum. A few drops of the serum will thin out the paste and make it easier to work with.

    • 9

Rub your hands together to mix the two products, and apply it to your hair. You can add the mixture to the hair ends only or from root to tip. The more you add, the more pliable your hair will become.

    • 10

Continue to work the paste mixture through your hair to create the final style.

Tips & Warnings

  • Add bobby pins to clip pieces of hair out of the way. Bobby pins and clips do not need to be hidden with wild punk rock hair styles. The accessories will add to the final look. Your hair cut and color play a significant role in your wild punk rock hair style. Beginning with color that is bleach blond and hot pink, for example, will add to the style. A texturized razor-cut haircut will also make it easier to create this look.
