How to Watch Cable TV on a Wireless Laptop
Up until just a few years ago, it wasn't possible to watch cable TV on your laptop, but with the increase in bandwidth and the development of new streaming technology, watching your favorite cable TV shows on your laptop is easy. You can even get up to 3,000 channels from countries around the world.

Use the Apple iTunes Store to purchase the individual show that you would like to watch. ITunes has a wide variety of the latest shows as well as many older syndicated shows available. The fee is usually anywhere between 99 cents to $5 per episode, depending on the show (see Resources).

2
Use Streamick.com. Streamick.com streams hundreds of channels for free. These include movies, sports, news, music and educational shows. Although the quality isn't great, the service is completely free (see Resources).

Purchase special software. There are a number of software packages available that allow you to watch up to 3,000 satellite and cable TV channels. As of 2009, the software costs about $40, which is cheaper than a month of premium cable service. You can install it in less than 20 minutes, and it broadcasts shows from the United States, Argentina, Singapore, Russia and pretty much anywhere around the world that broadcasts TV signals. You can watch movies, TV shows, news and sports all from the convenience of your wireless laptop (see Resources).
