Instructions

    • 1

Obtain pieces of crown molding that fit the corner-to-corner length measurements of the room in which you wish to place the molding. For the corners to fit together, you will create a 45-degree angle using the Dewalt miter saw.

    • 2

Place the piece of molding that will be on the left side of the corner onto the top of the table saw. It should be placed down flat and be flush against the fence so that the decorate portion of the molding is facing toward you. Move the bevel to a setting of 33.8 and set the miter to the right at 31.62. Make the cut using one hand to operate the saw and the other to hold the molding steady.

    • 3

Place the piece of molding that will be on the right side of the corner onto the top of the table saw. Place it flat down and flush against the fence so the decorative portion is facing outwards toward you. Leave the bevel set at 33.8, but move the miter to the left at 31.62. Make the cut in the same fashion as you did the left-side piece.

Tips & Warnings

  • To be sure the cut is correctly, set the bevel and miter levels and test on scrap pieces of wood before making the final cut on the crown molding.

  • Always use extreme caution and wear protective gear, such as eye goggles and gloves, when working near a table saw.
