If you have clothes that you are no longer going to wear then you can sell them to consignment shops. Depending on the clothes that you are selling and the consignment shop that you take them to, you can make a nice return.

Go through your clothes and determining what you have absolutely no more use for. Once you have decided what you are going to sell, you want to make sure that the clothes have no stains. If the clothes do have stains, get them removed. If you can not remove the stains, consider giving the clothes away to charity.

Take your clothes to the consignment shops and work out a price. Consignment shops are not all the same; some specialize in certain types of clothing, and some only deal in high end clothes that carries designer labels, so visit several consignment shops and take a look at the selection that they have. If your clothes fit in well with their selection, that consignment shop may be a good fit for you.

Choose which consignment shop to use for your clothes. By picking the correct consignment shop you can maximize the amount of money you can get for your clothes.
