How to make your photos look like cartoons in Kodak Easy Share

The "Cartoon" effect in Kodak EasyShare transforms your photo into a cartoon rendition of the original. It is located in the aptly named "Fun Effects" section of the software. The effect works by highlighting certain colors in your photo and saturating them to give the photo the appearance that it was drawn -- rather than taken with a digital camera. After applying the effect, you can save the photo for future use.

• Kodak EasyShare software

Instructions

1. Launch the Kodak EasyShare software and drag the picture that you want to edit into the gallery window. Alternately, click the "File" menu and select "Add Pictures...." Choose the picture that you want to add from your hard drive and click "Done."

2. Click the picture once and click "Edit" from the toolbar at the top of the window.

3. Click "Fun Effects" from the toolbar on top of the "Edit" window.

4. Click the "Cartoon" button on the left side of the "Edit" window to transform your picture into a cartoon. Click "Accept."

5. Click "Save As..." at the bottom of the "Edit" window to save the cartoon version of your image to your hard drive.
