Romantic Body Language
Romantic Body Language
Michael Zacharzewski

Communication takes place without words. People use body language to convey if they like or don't like somebody, if they want to get to know them better, and body language can even tell how much one person is interested in the other. Only about ten percent of language is communicated through speech. The rest is said through the subtle movements of the human body.

Things You'll Need:

  • a place to study body language
  • a romantic possibility
  • group observation or observations in bars
  • time to study
  • pratice
  1. Step 1

One of the first noticeable steps to figuring out if someone is interested, or not, is to see how close they stand to you. If they are more than a few feet away or they are standing across the room, this is probably a good indicator that they are not romantically inclined. The closer he or she stands, the more likely romantic thoughts are running through their head.

  2. Step 2

Another way to read romantic body language is through the mirror technique. If the person you are talking to mirrors your actions, then that means they are interested. Usually, it's so subtle that you have to be aware it. Watch people in groups or in conversation and see how they respond. You can tell the level of interest by watching as they raise a hand to their hair. See if the other person does the same.

  3. Step 3

Watch the eyes. If a person is interested they will appear to blink a lot and will meet your gaze directly. At first it is best not to stare at someone too long. Catch their eye and smile and then look away. Someone who raises their eyebrows in a conversation will show that he or she is interested and it could wind up leading to romance.

  4. Step 4

By noticing the above steps, you'll be able to read the interest of others soon. Keep practicing to become a master at deciphering body language.
