Acne is bad enough. It is even worse when after your acne finally disappears you are left with ugly pockmarks forever reminding you of the acne you once had. Learn how to get rid of pockmarks and get beautiful skin again. There are many different treatments to get rid of pockmarks you just need to choose the right for you.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Topical Solutions To Get Rid of Pockmarks
The first thing you should try to get rid of pockmarks are the many topical solutions and topical creams that can help reduce the appearance of pockmarks. The creams needed to get rid of pock marks are similar to creams that get rid of scars. Start with a cocoa butter based cream. Apply twice daily for at least a month and you should see a reduction in the appearance of your pock marks. If that does not work, try a topical scar reducer that contains silicone or alpha hydroxy acids. These will both help to get rid of pockmarks.

  2. Step 2

Dermabrasion to Get Rid of Pock Marks
If topical pockmarks solutions do not work, then you could try dermabrasion. Dermabrasion works by having a doctor wear away the top layer of skin thus helping your skin to recover and getting rid of your pockmarks.

  3. Step 3

Laser Therapy to Get Rid of Pockmarks
Another medical option to get rid of pockmarks is laser therapy. The doctor will use the laser to treat and essentially cut out the pockmarks so that new skin can grow in its place and eliminate the appearance of pockmarks.

  4. Step 4

Punch Augmentation to Get Rid of Pock Marks
Perhaps the most successful of all methods to get rid of pockmarks is punch augmentation. Punch augmentation is a medical procedure where the doctor extracts the pockmarks and then replaces that skin with skin from another part of your body. It takes around a month to heal but will get rid of your pockmarks for good.

Tips & Warnings
  • Try the topical solutions to pockmarks first because they cost the least and are the least invasive.
  • Always consult your doctor before trying a new treatment.
