Clean your exhaust hood with a grease-cutting dishwashing detergent and hot water once weekly. Use a sponge to scrub off the grease and grime buildup. Do not use abrasive cleansers because you can scratch the surface and ruin the finish of the exhaust hood.

Remove the light bulb and wipe it down gently with soap and hot water. Avoid wetting the screw cap portion of the bulb. Wipe the bulb clean with a rag dipped in plain water and dry thoroughly.

Take off any non-electrical, removable parts and soak them in a 50-50 solution of hot water and ammonia for 15 to 20 minutes. Rinse with hot water and dry.

Remove grease buildup with a 50-50 mixture of ammonia and hot water and scrub with a sponge or rag.
