Step 1
Upon entering the Walt Disney World complex, which includes all of the parks and hotels, golf courses and entertainment, you have four options for transportation. I'll list them in the quickest and most convenient forms of transportation.
1)Monorail
2)Boats
3)Buses
4)Rental/personal car -
Step 2
Now, I list the rental/personal car last, because it's a hassle to rent a car, then find a place to park, because the Magic Kingdom and EPCOT(Experimental Prototype Community/City of Tomorrow) both use a parking lot miles away from the parks, so you still have to take another form to get to the parks. I personally like staying in the complex and using their free transportation.
-
Step 3
The easiest way to organize the transportation options are to list the options for the Transportation and Ticket Center(TTC) each park and where each one can go to. The first is the TTC.
-
Step 4
The TTC has all of the options for transportation. If you haven't already purchased your tickets for the parks, you will have to do it here. The TTC is also home to the parking lot for the Magic Kingdom and EPCOT. If you have a rental car or your own, you can park here and then take another form of transportation to The Magic Kingdom or EPCOT. The Monorail will take you from the TTC to The Magic Kingdom, to EPCOT, and to three of the four luxury hotels, The Polynesian Resort, The Contemporary Resort, and The Grand Floridian Resort and Spa. The TTC has three monorail lines, a local line that goes through all the hotels, The Magic Kingdom, and back to the TTC. The second is an express from the TTC to The Magic Kingdom, and the third is an express from the TTC to EPCOT. The TTC also has boat launches to all of the luxury hotels, including The Wilderness Lodge, the only luxury hotel without access to the Monorail. It has boat launches to the Magic Kingdom as well. And finally, the TTC has buses that will take you to any destination in the complex. Buses are the slowest and least convenient of the free options, but they go to the most places, and if you're in a value resort, the bus is your only option.
-
Step 5
The Magic Kingdom is perhaps the best known park in the complex. The Magic Kingdom has three options for transportation, Monorail, Bus, and Boat. Monorail access includes the TTC and The Polynesian, The Contemporary, and The Grand Floridian. The park offers bus launches to all four of the luxury hotels, and the TTC. And it offers bus stops to all the moderate and value resorts.
-
Step 6
EPCOT(Experimental Prototype Community/City of Tomorrow) has three options as well. Monorail, Boat, and Bus. The Monorail at EPCOT will give you access only to the TTC, from there, you can get on a different line or form of transportation to get where you're going. EPCOT has their boat launch in the back of the park, in the World Showcase. The boat launches will give you access to Disney's Beach Club Resort, Disney's Board Walk Resort, Disney's Yacht Club Resort, Walt Disney World Dolphin Hotel, and Walt Disney World Swan Hotel. Their Bus transportation will give you access to any of the other parks and all the value resorts.
-
Step 7
Disney's Hollywood Studios has three options for transportation. Boat launches, buses, and a parking lot. Boat launches give you access to Disney's BoardWalk Resort, Disney's Yacht Club Resort, and Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin. The Buses can get you to any other hotel that you need to get to. The parking lot can be used for your rental/personal car, and it's on the park's site, so you can go right from the parking lot to the park, no need to take any other transportation.
-
Step 8
Disney's Animal Kingdom has two transportation options, buses and your car. The bues will take you to any hotel or other park you need to get to, though to get to the Magic Kingdom, you'll have to take a bus to the TTC, and then the Monorail to the park. Animal Kingdom also has a parking lot on site, so you can park your car and go right into the park.
