How to Get Rid of Ants at Home

Nothing is more pesky than having ants inside your home. You can see the long line of ants coming in from the outside and nothing seems to stop them. Here is an easy and safe way to make sure they don't get inside.

Things You'll Need

• Home sprayer
• Malathion

Instructions

1. 

   Go to home depot or lowes and buy a home sprayer and a bottle of malathion. Malathion is a safe pesticide for home use and it is really powerful.

2. Unpack your sprayer and get your water hose out. You can mix up the malathion by putting about 1/10 mixture of malathion to water. So put 1 part malathion for 10 parts water. Fill the home sprayer with plenty of water and a stronger mix will only yield slightly better results.

3. Go around the outside of your home and spray at the base of your house. Give extra attention to door ways and thresholds. You can also spray around windows or cracks where you think ants may enter. Keep the dogs or cats away from the area sprayed for about two hours after spraying. Just to be safe.

• Wood siding for homes or wood decks will absorb this chemical keeping the creepy crawlers away!

• Always wear gloves, eye protection and a simple particle mask.
