Now you will need to pick a ribbon color. I chose Orange and Blue for my wedding, so I alternated Orange and Blue Ribbon with the Hard Tack Candy colors. You will need to pull off enough ribbon to tie a decent size bow onto the candy wrapped in Tulle. Make sure you have plenty of it on hand. Hard Tac candy is a great alternative to making discount wedding favors that are unique.

You can use any candy choice that you prefer, especially if you can find a great color choice that matches your wedding. However, making these Hard Tack Candy favors will show your guests that you took the time to make these. You can use food coloring to match the flavor oils that you use. You can buy these oils almost anywhere: Wal-Mart, Michael's, AC Moore, Etc. Make sure that you personalize your wedding favors for an extra special touch.

I included a great recipe for Hard Tack Candy in the Resources under this article. You can find this recipe anywhere on the internet, but make sure you are using Oils instead of Flavorings. This is another project that you can be creative with as well. You can attach name tags with ribbon, you can use sticker tags, you can add embellishments. These will look like you paid a lot of money, but yet they are simple, elegant, and cheap wedding favors!
Tips & Warnings
Making the Candy can be messy.
