Checkbook Savings!!
Checkbook Savings!!

Save money easily when balancing your checkbook!!!!

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • pen/ pencil
  • checkbook
  • bank statement
  • calculator
  1. Step 1

Saving is easy to do! When you write a check ,how do you write it in your register? Well this is simple to do and you save a little bit at a time without even noticing it...

  2. Step 2

First , when you write out your bills, write your check for the amount of your bill. such as a phone bill for $29.50. Then write in your register $30.00. That is $.50 you will save. Do not write this down... You will be rounding your bills to the higher dollar amount.

  3. Step 3

At the end of the month you take your bank statement with your balance on it and subtract it from what your register says. When you do this you will save a little at a time but it adds up over time. It is not something you will notice. I do this and can have a few extra dollars in the end...

Tips & Warnings
  • balance checkbook VS. bank statement at the end of the month to see your savings.
  • Do not worry about rounding it makes it easier to balance your checkbook in the end.
  • Remember you'll see savings over a month or longer
