When celebrating Valentine's Day, most children will give the store bought cards or candy type cards to their classmates. There's usually a pencil or two given as well. If you are looking for a fun and different Valentine for your child to give to her classmates, this is the perfect project for you to do together.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Heart shaped cookie cutters
  • Sugar cookie recipe
  • Homemade play dough recipe
  • Red or pink ribbon
  • Card stock or index cards
  • Markers, stickers and glitter pens
  • Hole puncher
  1. Step 1

Buy enough heart shaped cookie cutters for the entire class. Check places like the dollar store or eBay for sets to keep the cost down.

  2. Step 2

On your card stock or index cards, write recipes for both homemade play dough and for sugar cookies on the inside or back with red or pink markers. On the front, write a Valentine message and To:, From:. Decorate the card with Valentine's Day stickers and glitter pens.

  3. Step 3

Punch a hole in the corner and attack it to the cookie cutter with ribbon. Her classmates will love receiving something they can use well after Valentine's Day.
