Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 12 little necks or steamers
  • 5 cloves of garlic
  • 1 small onion
  • 1 small green pepper
  • half teaspoon of red crushed peppers
  • 1 bottle of beer (optional)
  1. Step 1

Why don't you spice up your clams sometime? Scrub your clams very well and rinse with cold water first to enjoy this mystical treat.

  2. Step 2

In a bowl add about 5 tablespoons of cornstarch and fill the bowl with cold water. This process actually rids of any dirt that may be inside the clams. let sit for about 15 to 20 minutes. Remove the clams and rinse cornstarch mixture off of the clams.

  3. Step 3

In a pot add about a cup or two of water depending on the size of your clams. Remember we are not trying to make clam soup all we want to do is create a steam.

  4. Step 4

While the water is boiling add (all of these ingredients) chopped green pepper onion garlic and half a teaspoon of the hot crushed peppers.

  5. Step 5

Lower the heat at this point and add the ingredients I have mentioned above. let emulsify for 1 minute.

  6. Step 6

Add clams and cover pot with tight lid. Let steam on low heat for five to 10 minutes before uncovering.

  7. Step 7

After the required time remove clams with a slotted spoon making sure to gather all of the seasonings as well. Put on a large plate or platter and serve with Italian warm bread. Drink with a cold Corona or any other choice of your favorite drink. keep me posted and enjoy
