If you love cole slaw the way I do you probably have about 5 to 10 different cole slaw recipes that taste pretty good but aren't the best. Well, here is the best cole slaw recipe I have ever come across and it is oh so delicious! The instructions are simple and the ingredients include items you have in your fridge and pantry on a regular basis. I believe the horseradish is the ingredient that makes it taste so perfect. I hope you enjoy making this cole slaw recipe as much as I do. It's a favorite in my family and I guarantee once you make it, it will be a favorite with your family as well. Enjoy!

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 2 lbs of shredded slaw
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/3 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 cup cider vinegar
  • 1 tsp. yellow mustard
  • 1 tsp. celery seeds
  • 1 tblsp. prepared creamy horseradish
  1. Step 1

Pour your shredded slaw into a very large bowl and set aside.

  2. Step 2

In a separate, medium sized bowl, combine sugar, mayo, oil, vinegar, mustard, celery seed and horseradish with a wire whisk until the sugar is dissolved.

  3. Step 3

Toss mayo mixture with bagged slaw mixture until completely coated and refrigerate for four hours making sure to stir ever couple of hours or so. This recipe makes 2 pounds of cole slaw.

Tips & Warnings
  • Using light mayo will not change the taste or consistency of the slaw but will lower the caloric content if needed. Do not use red wine vinegar in place of the cider vinegar. It will alter the taste of the slaw.
