How to Stop Hiccups Immediately

Hiccups can be annoying, and often occur at the worst moments. You can stop hiccups immediately with this quick and efficient remedy. You can do it for yourself or for someone else. Try it the next time you have hiccups, and then tell all your friends.

Instructions
  1. Step 1

    When hiccups begin, close your eyes, or direct someone who has hiccups to close their eyes.

  2. Step 2

    If you have hiccups, place your first and second fingers over your eyeballs, or if someone else has hiccups, place your thumbs on top of their closed eyes with the rest of your hand on the side of their head.

  3. Step 3

    Press firmly, but gently on the top of the eyeball for about 5 seconds.

  4. Step 4

    As if by magic, the bout of hiccups will stop immediately.

  5. Step 5

    No drinking water, holding your breath, naming 10 bald men, or putting sugar under your tongue is necessary. This method is simple and works!

Tips & Warnings
  • Teach your children how to do this.
  • Press gently, but firmly.
  • Tell your friends.
