Things You'll Need:
- 1/3 cup butter
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans
- 1/2 granulated sugar
- 12 oz cream cheese
- 1 egg
- 2 tablespoons whole milk
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 3/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 8 oz sour cream

Step 1
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Cream together the butter and brown sugar. Add the flour and pecans and beat until the mixture is crumbly.

Set aside 1 cup of the crumbs for the topping. Press the left over crumb mixture into the bottom of a 9 inch square baking pan. Bake the crust for about 10 minutes.

Beat together 1/4 cup of sugar and the cream cheese until the mixture is smooth. Add the egg, milk, lemon juice and vanilla and mix just until the ingredients are combined.

Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the crust while the crust is still hot. Sprinkle the left over crumb mixture on top. Bake in the oven for about another 25 minutes.

In a small bowl, stir together the sour cream and the 1/4 cup of sugar until it is combined. Spread the sour cream over the hot cheesecake and bake for another 5 minutes. Place the pan on a wire rack to cool.

When it is completely cooled, cut the cake into even 3 inch squares and put them in the refrigerator until it is time to serve. Garnish the squares right before serving.
