Is the rubber backing on your rug stuck to your ceramic tile floor? Sometimes cheap bathroom rugs get stuck to the tile and seems impossible to get off.

This problem can be caused from not drying your floor after cleaning it, before you laid your rug down. Cheap bathroom rugs are so thin that when you step out of the shower, the excess water goes straight through the rug!

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

First thing you need to do is to spray the lubricant (like the kind you use on noisy door hinges) directly on your nylon scrubber. Make sure you don't spray the lubricant onto your tile because it may stain the grout.

  2. Step 2

Take your nylon scrubber and scrub the rubber until it loosens off your tile. Then wipe dry with a paper towel.

  3. Step 3

Because you used a spray lubricant to remove the rubber, you now need to wash off your floor. Wipe the area down with warm soapy water and make sure to dry it off good before replacing with another rug.

Tips & Warnings
  • Make sure your floor is clean and dry before you put rugs down.
  • Use caution after scrubbing with spray lubricant .... your floor may be slippery!!
