Things You'll Need:
- Clear nail polish
- Socks
- Slippers
- Lotion
-
Step 1
Make SURE your toes are dry before you leave the salon. Wear open toed shoes if possible.
-
Step 2
It's always okay to add a layer of clear polish a day or two after the pedicure. Make sure to hit the tips of your toenails as those spots usually chip first.
-
Step 3
Wear socks with your shoes. Even the Not-Socks protect your piggies from the friction of shoe against nail.
-
Step 4
I support slippers in the house. They give at least a little cushion if you bang your toe on the coffee table. It may be the difference between a chip or not.
-
Step 5
Slathering your feet with lotion and wearing all cotton socks to bed will help maintain smooth heels and balls of your feet.
-
Step 6
Watch yourself in flip flops! Toes are exposed and close to the ground--along with lots of paint chipping hazards.
-
Step 7
OPTIONAL: You can always ask to purchase a bottle of the color used on your toes while still at the salon. Then doing your own touch ups will postpone your next a appointment a little longer.
