Here are a few tips on how to straighten your curly hair and make it look natural.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • A round brush
  • A blow dryer
  • A straightening iron
  • 6 large hair clips
  1. Step 1

Washing your hair: You can find shampoos and hair conditioners that are specifically made to use when you blow dry your hair straight. Wash and condition your hair as you would normally do. Make sure you rinse your hair well, any hair care product left on your hair will make it harder to get your hair straight. And it will your straight hair last longer.

  2. Step 2

Blow drying: If you are trying to achieve volume, blow-dry your hair with your head upside down. If your not looking for volume divide your hair into six section, and dry the hair per section. Start at the nape area and work your way up. Blow dry from the roots down. It is best to go over the same section various times rather than holding the blow dryer over the same section of hair for a while.

  3. Step 3

Flat Iron: Divide your hair into sections. Grab a small piece of hair and smooth it over with the flat Iron. Start from the root down, go over the same section of hair several times. A important tip to pick very small sections of hair. Slightly bend the ends in or out, this step will help it look more natural.

Tips & Warnings
  • For best results your should be completely dry before using the Iron.
  • Flat Irons are one of those items where price makes a difference. A good one will cost you about a $100.00
  • Straightened hair always looks better the second day.
