Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Basic black pens
  • Green flower packaging tape
  • Small decorations
  • All supplies can be purchased at Michael's Craft Store
  1. Step 1

Gather all your supplies. Next take the covers off the pens.

  2. Step 2

Wrap the flower packaging tape around the bottom of the pen tightly and work your way up to the top making sure you over lap each piece of tape to avoid the pen showing through. Make sure you pull the tap tight to eliminate bumps and wrinkles. The tape is just sticky enough to hold to the pen but not stick to your hand when completed.

  3. Step 3

Once you reach the top, go back down the pen with the tape about an inch.

  4. Step 4

Next add the decorative element. Use the tape to secure it onto the top of the pen.

  5. Step 5

Cut or rip off the tape when you are finished and wrap the remaining part around the pen. Smooth it with your finger so that there are no edges sticking up.

  6. Step 6

Congratulations! You made your first pen! Continue steps 1-5 until you have a beautiful set. Place them in a flower pot or vase to display them on your desk.

  7. Step 7

These pens also make great gifts! You can even accessorize them for holidays- hearts for Valentine's day, four leaf cloves for St. Patrick's Day, pumpkins for Halloween, and decorative trees for Christmas. The options are endless! Let your creativity shine!
