Cooking any type of food will eventually generate unpleasant odors. This article explains how to remove these common odors simply and quickly.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Vinegar
  • White vinegar, 1 cup
  • Baking soda
  • Lemon juice, 1 tablespoon
  • Water, 1 cup
  1. Step 1

    To remove odors coming from the drain, pour vinegar down it.

  2. Step 2

    To remove unpleasant cooking odors (around the stove; e.g., onion, garlic, etc.), simmer a cup of white vinegar on the top of the stove.

  3. Step 3

    To remove odors coming from the microwave, wet a cloth in warm water, wring it out, and dip it in baking soda.

    Use the cloth to wipe down the inside of the oven.

  4. Step 4

    Another way to remove odors coming from the microwave is to mix 1 cup of water with 1 tablespoon of lemon juice.

    Put this solution in the microwave and heat at full power for 1 minute.

  5. Step 5

    To remove fish odor from a frying pan, fill the pan with water, add vinegar and heat to boil.

    Wash and rinse as per your normal procedure.
