Really good Comforters, pillows, and others made from Delicate materials like goose down, are so soft and they get dirty. So as with everything you have to clean the very comfortable bedding you cuddle up with.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

Actually, if you wash the bedding right, it helps, because the down gets very dry after a while, so a good mild wash replenishes oil in the down . First you only want to wash this comforter by itself. Put your washers setting on either ultra-delicate, or if you have a Steam cycle on your washer, use that setting.

  2. Step 2

Make sure you use a very, very, mild detergent. Any harsh chemicals will ruin the down. I suggest a all natural-non detergent mild soap. I have used Dr. Bonner's castile soap, but you can use whatever you prefer.

  3. Step 3

After the cycle is finished, You may put the comforter in an the dryer with a couple of tennis balls. Don't over do this cycle either. My dryer has a steam setting that I have used, it worked well. You really do not want heat, just air, to fluff the comforter up.

Tips & Warnings
  • Only wash the comforter when needed.
  • If you are unsure of washing the comforter, by all means, just take it to the Dry cleaners.
