How to get rid of Canadian Geese on your property

There is nothing more frustrating then having Canadian Geese take a liking to your property.

Their droppings are large and all over the place. I had a house up in Long Island New York that was about a half a block from a state park and they were always there and by our house.

We had to make sure the kids would not step in it. At first I thought it was a cat but then realized that there was way too much poop to be from a cat.

We tried many different things to try to get rid of them. Canadian Geese are very large and can be annoying and frightening too.

I remember we had them at work because there were several ponds surrounding the office complex. They would be by your car and not want to move and hiss at you and start to chase you.

Here are some ways to get rid of Canadian Geese from your property that you can try.
Above all else remember safety first. They will hiss and charge if provoked. Make sure your children know this as well.

Instructions

1. First - Do Not Feed Them!!!!! Do nothing to encourage them to stay or to come back.

2. Distressed bird sounds. Make your property seem like an unsafe place for birds. This might get annoying if you have to listen to it for a long time.

3. Get a dog that likes to herd. They can chase them but not kill them.

4. Buy some Goose Chase. It is made by Bird X Company.

5. Grow tall grass. This might not be an option if it is your lawn that is affected. Your neighbors would be very upset.
