This is the BEST peach cobbler pie you will ever eat! What makes it the best is the crispy glazed crust topping. The topping is made from simple white bread. The cobbler pie is even more amazing topped with vanilla ice cream! Grab some peaches and start baking!

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 8 x 8 baking dish
  • 6 fresh peaches peeled and sliced
  • 6 slices white bread
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 Tbls flour
  • 1/2 cup( 1 stick) butter, melted
  • vanilla ice cream
  1. Step 1

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
    Peel and slice the peaches.
Cover the bottom of an 8x8 baking dish with the sliced peaches.

  2. Step 2

Trim the edges off of the slices of white bread. Then cut the bread into strips. Place the strips of bread over the peaches. You can place them in a weave pattern like the picture above or any way that you like.

  3. Step 3

Melt the butter in a medium bowl. Mix the egg, sugar and flour with the melted butter. Pour this mixture over the bread slices and peaches.
This mixture will make a crust like glaze on the white bread and peaches.

  4. Step 4

Bake the cobbler pie for 25-30 minutes at 350 degrees or until bread slices are browned. Serve warm in bowls and top with ice cream.

Tips & Warnings
  • I always use fairly firm peaches so that they will not become too mushy when cooked. Of course if you like your cobbler pie with mushy peaches then go ahead and use the very ripe peaches. Either way it will be delicious!
