How to Make a Bottlecap Necklace

The bottlecap necklace is a easy way to recycle bottle caps and make a unique necklace. You can make this easily and it is a fun craft. Bottle caps are usually found all around us. Save them up for this retty necklace project.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 10 bottle caps
  • 10 photo's
  • craft glue
  • craft paint
  • 20" to 24" chain necklace with clasp
  • 10 medium jump rings(match Chain)
  • hole punch tool (awl)
  • jewelry pliers
  1. Step 1

    Take all the bottle caps and paint them with the craft paint on top and sides. The paint can be any color. Do not paint the inside, there's no need to. Let them all dry well.

  2. Step 2

    Print out small copy' s of the 10 photo's. The photo's can be family pictures, travel pictures,scenery,sports or pets. In other wards anything you especially like.

  3. Step 3

    On each bottle cap punch a small hole in the top that a medium jump ring will fit in.

  4. Step 4

    Glue the 1 of the photo's on each bottlecap. After done with this push te edges down gently all around with the pliers on each bottle cap. This will make a border around the photo.

  5. Step 5

    Attach a jump ring to each bottlecap. Put bottle caps around the chain by attaching with the jump ring that is on each one. Space the bottle caps out evenly.

Tips & Warnings
  • Add some charms in between the bottlecap to match the chain to artsy the necklace up more
  • Add some pretty beads here and there hanging on the chain for a even more artsy effect
  • Make sure the jump rings are attached well so they won't fall off
