How to Erase Files on a Palm Zire 31

The Palm Zire 31 comes equipped with an abundance of organizational functions, such as Contacts, an Event Calendar, Task Reminders, Memo and Notepad, and an Expense Tracker. Over time, however, many of these saved reminders and tasks may become outdated, disarranged and take up memory. It is important to remove old or unused information to keep your Palm Zire 31 organized and up-to-date.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Palm Zire 31

    Erasing a Contact

  1. Step 1

    Press the "Contacts" button.

  2. Step 2

    Select the contact.

  3. Step 3

    Press the Menu button and select "Delete Contact."

  4. Step 4

    Select "Save Archive Copy on PC" if you want to save this contact to your PC and then select "OK."

  5. Erase an Individual Event

  6. Step 1

    Press the "Calendar" button.

  7. Step 2

    Select the day, month, and year to search for the event.

  8. Step 3

    Open the event then press the Menu button and select "Delete Event."

  9. Step 4

    Select "Save Archive Copy on PC" if you want to save this event to your PC and then select "OK."

  10. Erasing Groups of Events

  11. Step 1

    Press the "Calendar" button.

  12. Step 2

    Press the Menu button and select "Purge on the Record."

  13. Step 3

    Select the time frame of the events you wish to delete. For example, you can select to delete files older than two weeks.

  14. Step 4

    Select "Save Archive Copy on PC" if you want to save these events to your PC and then select "OK."

  15. Erasing Tasks

  16. Step 1

    Press the Home button and select "Tasks."

  17. Step 2

    Select the task you wish to delete and select "Delete Task." If you want to delete several completed tasks, do not select an individual task, instead press the Menu button and select "Purge on the Record."

  18. Step 3

    Select "Save Archive Copy on PC" if you want to save a task or group of tasks to your PC and then select "OK."

  19. Erasing a Note or Memo

  20. Step 1

    Press the Home button and select "Notepad or Memo."

  21. Step 2

    Open the Note/Memo you wish to erase.

  22. Step 3

    Select "Delete" and select "OK" to confirm.

  23. Erasing Expenses

  24. Step 1

    Press the Home button and select "Expense."

  25. Step 2

    Select the expense you wish to erase.

  26. Step 3

    Press the Menu button and select "Delete Item."

  27. Step 4

    Select "Save Archive Copy on PC" if you want to save this expense to your PC and then select "OK."
