Chocolate chip cookies are one of my favorite cookies, next to macadamia nut. Making chocolate chip cookies can be a fun and easy way to spend time with your kids and engage them in extracurricular activities. Here is my recipe for them.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 2 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp. of baking soda
  • equal amounts of sugar and light brown sugar (1/4 c.)
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 12 oz. chocolate chips
  • 1 package of peanut butter chips
  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 large egg
  1. Step 1

    Preheat oven to 300 degrees.

  2. Step 2

Make sure butter is softened to room temperature. Cream butter, white and brown sugar, vanila and egg until it is light and fluffy (about 3 to 5 minutes.

  3. Step 3

In a seperate bowl, mix flour, salt, and baking soda. Gradually mix dry ingredients into wet ingredients, a little at a time. Add chocolate chips and peanut butter chips. You don't have to add the entire bag. You can put half a bag of chocolate chips and half a bag of peanut butter chips. Dough will be stiff.

  4. Step 4

Butter the bottom of a cookie sheet. Scoop the dough, by tablespoon, onto the cookie sheet. Place them an inch apart. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, or until the edges are golden bron.
