There are lots of women that have inverted triangle body with bigger upper body, no hip and skinny legs. When you have this kind of body, it makes you look top heavy with very small legs creating an unbalance in the overall look. This article talks about some of the clothing that you can wear to flatter an inverted triangle body to create a more balanced look.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

If you have an inverted triangle body, your shoulders are wide, bust area is bigger than the hip area and the hips and legs are slimmer which lacks feminine curves. For this kind of body, it is important to be able to balance your upper body with lower body. To do this, you must de-emphasize the upper body and draw attention to your hips and legs. When done right, the inverted triangle body can look very feminine.

  2. Step 2

Stick to tops of darker color, simple designs and shapes that de-emphasize the shoulders and bust. Tops should never be bold colors or have large prints that draw more attention to your upper body. Because the bust area is already larger than the hips, you should not wear padded bras instead go for bras that add support to your bust. Styles that are good for you are soft fabrics or wrap around styles that will make your shoulders look smaller.

  3. Step 3

The best top is the v-neck with simple designs for your inverted triangle body shapes. A basic V-neck with darker colors is the best choice for woman with larger bust.

  4. Step 4

For the lower body, you should choose something that gives the illusion of a bigger lower body. Pants and jeans that flare are your best bets. You can also pull off brighter color pants that most women fear. Pants and jeans that have back pockets are best for giving the illusion of a large butt. Low rise also does a lot for your figure because it will hug the hips highlight the hips and giving it a wider appearance.

  5. Step 5

Find skirts that have ruffles on the bottom to balance out your broad shoulders. These skirts will make the inverted triangle body look more feminine. When choosing skirts, they should always be brightly colored or have lots of prints to draw the eyes to that area.
