How to Make a Beautiful Flower Girl Basket
A flower girl is a noticeable part of any wedding party. She usually wears the color of the bride and may have curls in her hair and other dainty accessories such as a headpiece or gloves. Her duty in the wedding is to gently throw flower petals on the ground for the bride, as she walks in. The flower girl carries the petals in a small basket customized with decorations such as flowers, ribbons and bows.

1
Choose a basket small enough for a toddler or child to carry. If the basket is not the color of your choice, spray paint it before adding the additional decorations.
-
2
Line the inside base of the basket by cutting a piece of cardboard the same diameter as the bottom of the basket and place the cardboard inside the basket.

3
Lay the satin on a flat surface with the shiny side down and set the basket on the satin. Attach the satin to the basket by pulling it over the bottom of the basket. Put glue on the inside of the basket just over the top, pull the satin up, and press it on the glued areas. Attach the satin to the basket until you completely cover the bottom of the basket and trim off any excess satin.

4
Attach a piece of ribbon around the top edges of the basket with the hot glue gun. Add the rosebuds and flowers on top of the ribbon around the basket.
-
5
Make a small bow with a thick piece of ribbon or tulle and glue it to the front of the basket.
-
6
Wrap ribbon around the handle of the basket and glue the ends down on the inside of the basket. Trim any additional ribbon.
-
7
Place the rose petals inside the basket.
