No one likes snails around their house and in their garden. Slugs can eat and damage plants and lets face it who wants slugs around? Here is an easy way to get rid of those unwanted pests without putting your children or pets in danger.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 1 beer
  • 1 bowl
  1. Step 1

Identify an area where you notice a lot of snail activity. Snails usually hang out in wet or moist areas.

  2. Step 2

Fill your bowl halfway to the top with beer. This prevents the snails from floating back over the rim of the bowl.

  3. Step 3

Place the bowl on the ground in a place where it won't be seen. The snails are strongly attracted to the beer and will drown themselves in it.

  4. Step 4

Empty the old beer and dead snails. Now refill the bowl with fresh beer and your ready to go again. This is a very inexpensive, yet effective, safe way to eliminate snails around your home.

on 8/3/2009 I never knew snails liked beer. You could also pour salt around the perimeter of an area where snails hang live. If they cross the line, the salt will kill them.
