Ahhhh…there’s nothing quite like the tantalizing aroma of homemade bread baking in the oven. And there’s nothing like the convenience of using your bread machine to have hot, homemade bread whenever you want. And with a bread machine, it is so easy to set the timer so you wake up to hot homemade bread.
This recipe for honey wheat bread is easy to make and the bread is tasty and good for you.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Bread Machine
  • 1 1/8 cups water
  • 2 ½ cups white bread flour
  • ½ cup wheat bread flour
  • 1 ½ TBS dry milk
  • 1 ½ TBS honey
  • 1 ½ Tsp salt
  • 2 TBS butter
  • 2 Tsp fast rise yeast OR 3 tsp active dry yeast
  1. Step 1
    Assemble the ingredients for Honey Wheat Bread

    Assemble your ingredients on the counter so you don’t forget anything.

  2. Step 2

    Be sure to add all the ingredients to your bread machine in the following order:
    Water, White Bread Flour, Wheat Bread Flour, Dry Milk, Honey, Salt, Butter, Yeast.

    Start your bread machine. Or set the timer for a later start time.

    It's okay to peek inside the bread machine to see how the dough looks.

    Remove the bread from the pan as soon as it is done, or it will get soggy. Cool on a wire rack.

Tips & Warnings
  • It's my experience that bread seems to rise higher on a sunny day, and not rise as high on a cloudy day.
