Delight your family and friends with their favorite ice cream in a yummy ice cream pie.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 1/2 Gallon of your favorite ice cream
  • 1 pre-made pie shell (graham cracker, chocolate or shortbread)
  • 1 jar ice cream topping (fudge, caramel or butterscotch)
  • 1 can of whip cream
  • Misc toppings
  1. Step 1

Bake pie shell as instructed (Keep plastic cover to put over pie when finished). Let cool. When cool, spread 1/3 of topping in bottom and sides of shell. Some toppings need to be softened in microwave to spread. Place in freezer for 10 to 15 minutes to firm topping.

  2. Step 2

Take out ice cream to soften for 10 to 15 minutes. Scoop layers of ice cream and lay in shell. Gently press ice cream into crust until it is full with a rounded top. Use as much of the topping as desired on top of pie and around the edges. Place plastic top over pie and freeze for at least 2 hours.

  3. Step 3

Take pie out 10 minutes before serving. Top with whip cream and desired toppings for decorations. ENJOY!

  4. Step 4

If you would like to transport pies to work or event. Use a paper bag lined with newspapers and pies will keep for up to 1 hour. Do not use whip cream until ready to serve it will melt.
