How to Polish Copper Bottom Cookware

This paste will shine all copper pans without harsh cleaners.

Things You'll Need:

  • Flour
  • Salt
  • Vinegar
  1. Step 1

    The first step is to make the polish. To do this you will mix equal parts of flour and salt with vinegar to create a paste. You can store any unused paste in a sealed container in the refridgerator.

  2. Step 2

    Be sure your pots are clean and free from food particles or grease. Once your paste is complete using a damp cloth apply the paste to the copper parts of your pans. Use the cloth to scrub the bottom and sides of your pans. Once the pot is clean rinse well and repeat if necessary. Remember this solution works on all copper not just pans.

  3. Step 3

    Once the paste has been applied and your pots are clean and shiny rinse and dry the pot thouroughly. If you continue to follow this cleaning procedure when nessassary it will keep your copper looking nice all the time.
