This is a recipe for Birdseed Wreaths. Buying a wreath in store can cost as much as $25. I can make 6 for about $5. These make excellent Christmas Gifts and birds love them. Enoy!

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

    What You need:

2 .25 ounce package of unflavored gelatin

    4 cups birdseed

    6 4 inch bundt pans

    Water

    Ribbon or String

  2. Step 2

    Boil 12 Tablespoons of water.

Mix Gelatin and 4 Tablespoons of cold water. Allow it to set for 1 minute, then add boiling water. Stir until the gelatin dissolves.

  3. Step 3

Add birdseed to the gelatin mixture. Stir, then allow mixture to set for a few minutes. Repeat this process until the liquid has been absorbed by the birdseed.

  4. Step 4

Place mixture in the 6 bundt pans. Refrigerate for 4 hours. Remove wreaths from the Refrigerator, remove them from the pan, and allow them to air dry for 24 hours.

  5. Step 5

Once they are completely dry, tie a string or ribbon around the top. These do best in cooler weather. They are for birds to eat. This recipe can be divided in half. I give these wreaths away as Christmas Gifts so I make a lot at once. To add color, you can mix in some cranberries or pumpkin seeds.
