If you have replaced your auto tires recently, you know how costly and time consuming it can be. Many automotive and tire shops do not have the tires you need in stock, and even when they do, they can be quite expensive. You can avoid some of this hassle and expense by ordering your new tires online in the comfort of your home. You can then bring the tires to a shop to have them installed.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Vehicle Information
  • Computer with Internet Access
  • Credit Card
  1. Step 1

Go to an online tire store. Ideally, visit more than one so you can compare pricing. Some options are TireRack.com, MichelinMan.com, DiscountTireDirect.com and even WalMart.com.

  2. Step 2

Once in the online store, you can find tires by vehicle type. You will chose your auto's year and make.

  3. Step 3

The tire options for your auto will appear. Some of the sites will tell you which option comes on the vehicle from the factory. Check your auto manual or your current tires to double check the size.

  4. Step 4

Select the tires you want from one of the options. If you also want a protection plan, you will add it at this point.

  5. Step 5

Enter checkout, where you will be asked for your billing address, shipping address and credit card number. Your new tires will be shipped to you.

Tips & Warnings
