1. Go to an online tire store. Ideally, visit more than one so you can compare pricing. Some options are TireRack.com, MichelinMan.com, DiscountTireDirect.com and even WalMart.com.

2. Once in the online store, you can find tires by vehicle type. You will chose your auto's year and make.

3. The tire options for your auto will appear. Some of the sites will tell you which option comes on the vehicle from the factory. Check your auto manual or your current tires to double check the size.

4. Select the tires you want from one of the options. If you also want a protection plan, you will add it at this point.

5. Enter checkout, where you will be asked for your billing address, shipping address and credit card number. Your new tires will be shipped to you.
