Commwarrior is the first virus to be targeted at all cell phones. It arrives via multimedia messaging service, or MMS, that urges you to download a "Happy Birthday" message that then installs the virus on your mobile phone. You can remove Commwarrior from a mobile phone to avoid a potential virus.

Tips & Warnings

  • If you cannot remember if you downloaded a MMS message containing the virus but have noticed that your battery life has suddenly become very short, check for the commwarrior files on your phone.

  • Treat all SMS and MMS messages from people or phone numbers you do not recognize the same way you would treat email from unknown addresses. Do not accept them, open them or download from links included in the messages or you may invite a virus that can disable your phone.
