This article will describe how to make a tuna melt hobo pie.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Hobo Pie Iron
  • 1 Can of Tuna Fish
  • Cheese
  • Mustard
  • Mayonnaise
  • Bread
  • Camp Fire
  1. Step 1

First you need to start a campfire. Once you have the fire lit you will need to let it burn for a while until you have bed of blazing hot coals. This is fairly important.

  2. Step 2

Next, take your hobo pie maker and stick it into the fire to burn off any germs.

  3. Step 3

Now you can begin to prepare your tuna melt hobo pie. Make a tuna sandwich using one can tuna, some mayonnaise, a splash of mustard, some dill relish and shredded cheese. All these ingredients can be mixed together and should be enough to make two hobo pies.

  4. Step 4

With the sandwiches made, melt butter into the hobo pie iron. This will prevent your pie from sticking to the iron which can be a disaster. With the butter melted into the iron, place the sandwich in the iron and close the iron.

  5. Step 5

Stick the iron directly into the fire’s coals depending on how warm your iron was to begin with the sandwich should take a minute or few on each side. Periodically check the sandwich so you don’t burn it. When it is cooked to your heart’s content take it out and for heaven sakes let it cool down. Failure to let it cool down WILL ruin your night.
