Make The Most of Summer
Make The Most of Summer

If you're like me, then you get excited about summer months in advance, every year. There's so much to do, so many fun and relaxing activities! Well, here's how to make sure you don't let summer fun pass you by. Seize the summer day and run with it!

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Take a picnic in the park. Bring a blanket, a basket or cooler, a book or magazine, and at least one kind of sports equipment.

  2. Step 2

Make kick-the-can ice cream in your back yard! Using a can, rock salt, and ice cream ingredients, you can make ice cream in a can by kicking it back and forth in a game! Also, some toy stores have special balls made just for this purpose.

  3. Step 3

Check your local listings for free concerts or outdoor movies in local parks, and pack a picnic.

  4. Step 4

Go to a local or state fair, even if you have to drive a few hours. Take a day to eat all the fair food, and ride all the rides, even if it's not healthy!

  5. Step 5

Make sun tea. Get a clear jar with a lid, fill with water and tea bags, and leave in direct sunlight in your yard. In a day or so, you'll have sun brewed tea! If desired, serve over ice.

  6. Step 6

Invent your own summer cocktail recipe. Make a pitcher and invite friends!

  7. Step 7

Go sun bathing. Even if you don't live near a beach, any outdoor area with grass will work. Bring a towel and sunscreen and make like you're on vacation.

  8. Step 8

Find sprinklers. Run through them. Enough said.

  9. Step 9

Even if you can't afford to take a vacation trip this year, go camping over a weekend. All you need is a sleeping bag, and most camp site fees are very reasonable.
