Ever wanted to save a picture of what was on your iPhone screen at any given moment? Using built-in features of the iPhone, you can make a screenshot of whats on your iPhone screen to save or share with others. This article describes how to capture a picture of whatever is on the screen of your iPhone. Then you can forward as an email or copy to another device - just like any other picture stored on your iPhone!

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • iPhone
  • 1 minute of free time
  1. Step 1

    Turn on your iPhone.

  2. Step 2

    With your iPhone on, get whatever it is you want to save an image of displayed on the screen.

  3. Step 3

    SIMULTANEOUSLY press the SLEEP and HOME buttons and then release both buttons at the same time.

    Your screen will quickly turn completely white, then fade back to normal.

  4. Step 4

    Go to PHOTOS on your iPhone. Your screenshot should be the last (latest) photo in the default gallery/album.

    Now you can keep your screenshot stored or email it as you would any other photo from your iPhone.
