Step 1
Apply a coat of car wax as soon as you bring your wrought iron furniture home from the store. The car wax will help protect the metal from the weather. Applying a coat of wax to your patio furniture should be done at the beginning and end of the season and also any time it is washed.

Step 2
To wash your wrought iron patio furniture use only a mild dish detergent and water and a rag. If you have and stains scrub with a soft bristled brush. Be sure to dry thoroughly and apply a coat of car wax.
-
Step 3
Cover your patio furniture with a tarp or store in a shed for the winter especially if you live in a snowy part of the country. It’s best to bring the patio furniture inside for the winter rather than expose the metal to the elements.
