Some odor-causing culprits can be certain foods, pets, and cigar or cigarette smoke just to mention a few. Keeping a home smelling nice is important in order to be able to enjoy your home. Keeping your home smelling nice is especially important when you have guest coming over. There are many ways to keep your home smelling fresh. Most of the time, it takes many trips to the store to buy air freshening products to keep your home smelling nice. An effective yet inexpensive way to keep your home smelling fresh is to make your own air freshener using items in your pantry.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Baking soda
  • Water
  • Empty and clean spray bottle
  • A few drops of your favorite scent
  1. Step 1
    medium-sized spray bottles

    Obtain a clean medium-sized to large bottle.

  2. Step 2

    Baking soda

    Add 1/4 cup of baking soda to the bottle. Add enough water to fill bottle.

  3. Step 3
    A bottle of essential oil
     
    A bottle of essential oil

    Add a few drops of your favorite scent. Screw on the top. Shake well.

Tips & Warnings
  • You can use any type of favorite scent such as your favorite perfume.
  • You can also use a few drops of vanilla extract
