How to Find a Person's Phone Number

PDA (personal digital assistant) phones used to be must-have accessories among executives and businessmen only. Today, even a high school student can get a PDA phone and make good use of it. The heavy dependence of people on mobile phones, e-mail and media players make PDA phones a necessity for many. Trying to operate and navigate PDA phone functions can be daunting for users who don't have experience with these multimedia gadgets, especially for common tasks such as finding a person's contact number. Using the Nokia E71 as an example, here is a step-by-step guide on how to find and store contacts on a PDA phone.

Instructions

1. To store a contact number, press the Menu button from the Home screen, then go to Communicate, then press Contacts.

2. Choose the Options, then select New Contact. Enter contact information such as name and mobile/landline number. Other information, such as physical address and e-mail address, can be added depending on the type of phone used.

3. To add a contact to a contact group, go to Options, select Mark/Unmark, then mark the contact number that you want to add. Then select Options again, go to Group, choose Add to Group then press Create New Group. Type in the name you want for the group.

4. To search for a contact number, go to Search and type the name of the contact in the blank field.

5. To assign a specific ringing tone to a contact or group, open the contact or the group information and press Options, then choose Ringing Tone. If you want to switch back to the preset tones, just choose Default tone from the ringing tone list.
