How to Create a Music Download Site

The Internet has emerged and thrived as a way for people to connect with one another and share things. Music fans have used the World Wide Web to share tunes and songs with each other. By creating your own website, you can share songs with friends by making them available for downloading through one of many sites that host music. It is not legal to host other people' copyrighted music on your site, but more than legal to host your own songs and recordings, or those made by others who gave you permission to post their songs.

Instructions

1. Navigate to Blogger.com, WordPress.com or another free blogging site and create a free blog by signing up on their site. Sign up requires a user name, password and e-mail address.

2. Design the layout of your page from their option for backgrounds, text style and details, and click "Complete." You will now be free to post onto your new blog.

3. Navigate to Rapidshare.com, MegaUpload.com, ZShare.com or any similar song uploading site and click the "Browse" tab to search through your computer's music library and upload a song. The songs need to be in any playable audio format.

4. Copy and paste the download link for your song once the song has finished uploading.

5. Click "Create a New Post" on your Blogger account and make a post for your first music download. Put the name of the song in the title and use a picture of the artist. Paste the Rapidshare download link in the post.

6. Repeat steps 3 through 5 for a different song or songs, and continue posting songs for people to download.

7. Advertise your site on social networking sites and drive traffic to it. Allow visitors and members to post their own songs on the site as well through comments or messages.
