How to Change the Internet Key in Norton Product Security

Symantec has produced Norton Internet Security products since 1990. Norton Internet Security products are updated on an annual basis unless the capability provided by the product is incorporated into a new software solution produced by the company. Norton's product key allows you to upgrade legacy versions of the software through the Internet. By updating your product key for Norton products online, you do not have to uninstall the old version of the security software on your computer in order to make use of the latest version.

Instructions

1. Connect your computer to the Internet if it is not already online.

2. Open your Norton security product by double-clicking the Norton icon on your desktop or application tray.

3. Choose the "Subscribe Now" or "Activate Now" menu button.

4. Select the "Enter Norton Product Key" menu option. Type your new product key into the text field and choose the "Next" menu button.

5. Enter your email address in the "Norton Account" text field and choose the "Next" menu button. After the activation is verified with the Norton web server, click the "Done" menu button and your product key for Norton Security will be updated.
