How to Buy a Used Dell Laptop
Since becoming one of the largest sellers of personal computers in the 1990s, Dell Inc. has expanded into sales of its used laptops through an online store. Dell offers direct purchase of laptops that it certifies a.) have been refurbished and subjected to the same testing a new machine would undergo; b.) were previously ordered new but never used; or c.) have scratches and dents, perhaps significant ones, but have been rigorously rebuilt and tested to assure their performance. The difference in buying from Dell rather than simply purchasing a used laptop elsewhere is Dell's extensive testing and component replacement, backed by a one- to three-year warranty on the hardware and 21-day return policy.

Purchase your Dell laptop from the site that best matches your desires for price, warranty and computer peripherals. My most recent Dell laptop purchase was for a refurbished Dell Latitude. I chose to buy through the Dell certified-refurbished service because the shipping cost was minimal and the laptop came with a full one-year manufacturer's warranty.
